ADVICE..without Compromise
To make life easy, we’ve added this page to give you the essential ADVICE and information on services we think you you may need.
There are two key areas:
Home-working Telephony and
Connectivity (Office & Home)
Home-working Telephony
When you’re advised to go home,
how do you take your desk phone with you?
Myth No. 1
You do NOT need a new land-line, VoIP contract or mobile app!
Why not?
It’s easy to make, receive, record and even transfer a business call when using any existing home phone or private mobile. Calls use the office number and costs are billed to the office.
The product that does all this is called FREEDOMCall
To make calls
You first dial a code.
You then dial your desired number.
The destination sees the call is coming from YOUR OFFICE NUMBER.
Call is answered, can be recorded and all costs are billed to your office.
Receiving a call is just as easy.
The caller dials your office number, which is set to divert to find you by calling all your chosen private numbers.
Pre-connection, you are told “it’s a business call“. To accept you enter a short-code, refuse and the caller goes to email (or a work colleague).
- Calls can be transferred, even when using a mobile
- Calls can be recorded.
- It’s your decision.
- Your choice.
But it’s never your personal cost and no-one sees your private numbers

CONNECTIVITY: Keeping your Internet LIVE
On 6 March BT openreach issued a Notice warning that visits into premises to repair faults could no longer be guaranteed. Meaning that if you had lost connectivity, it could stay lost for longer!
In our view, the more serious concern is that, with Covid-19 becoming an official pandemic, BT will also declare a “MBORC” emergency and all repair timescales are consigned to the bin; precisely the same location as your internet connectivity!
“MBORC = Matters Beyond Our Reasonable Control”
It therefore has become vital to find a working back-up solution, one that can restore full, high-speed connectivity FAST.
One such solution is UKSofa.
Designed by us in collaboration with our UK-based Internet Service Provider, and the mobile provider O2 (as providers to all the emergency services), the UK Sofa range covers the complete range of connectivity needs.
The smallest unit was designed for UK/EU travelling and for a home-based worker. It can have a standard phone handset socket and even be pre-configured with a VPN direct to your dedicated office network
At the other end of the scale the BroadBand-in-a-Box version. It gives a full commercial SFBB/FTTC equivalent service on-tap within minutes.
With the above FireBrick addition, it’s proven to activate with such speed, that a change from line to mobile connectivity becomes imperceptible, with no packet loss during a VoIP phone call.
Whatever unit is used, the design concept remains constant. Fast, fully managed, secure Internet connectivity, anywhere, anytime. Always affordable and with a contract length to suit the customer’s needs.
From the starter 30-92Mbps UKSofa unit to the instant fall-over UKSofa Biz FireBrick giving up to 240Mbps+ from multi-bonded VDSL connections, our UKSofa range of continuity/connectivity products remains unique within the EU marketplace.
